Abstract

The aesthetic value of music holds significant importance across multiple dimensions, thus proposing the aesthetics of musical expression: a philosophical exploration of emotion and meaning in music. This paper first analyzes the aesthetic expression of music in terms of three-dimensional hierarchy, dynamic flow, and the creation of a specific atmosphere or scene from the perspective of spatial sense. Subsequently, it explores the significance of music from a symbolic perspective, analyzing its embodiment in the expression of emotion, the transmission of emotion, and the symbols of social phenomena, culture, philosophies of life, and concepts of the universe. From the viewpoint of "harmony theory," the inner structure of music, the relationship between music and human emotion, and the relationship between music and society and culture are discussed in depth. The aesthetic significance of music is also analyzed from the perspective of "ethical view," examining its ethical and moral connotations. Additionally, incorporating archaeological research methods, the paper explores the role and significance of music in ancient cultures, revealing the unique value of musical aesthetics in interdisciplinary studies.
