Archaeological Exploration of Humanistic Spirit in Landscape Design from a Cartesian Philosophical Perspective
Abstract
Landscape design is a crucial step in the beautification of natural and man-made environments, closely tied to cultural inheritance and emotional expression. This paper explores the humanistic spirit in landscape design from a Cartesian philosophical perspective. Firstly, it outlines the relationship between humanism and landscape design, analyzing strategies that consider humanism. Then, based on Descartes' philosophy, it examines the embodiment of subjectivity, the application of universal skepticism and critical spirit, and the duality of mind and matter in landscape design. This approach not only enhances understanding of the human-nature relationship in landscape design but also promotes harmony between humanities and nature, offering new insights for the humanistic development of landscape design.
