Abstract

This study explores the philosophical influence of the long-standing Chinese "Fu" culture on contemporary aesthetic design, incorporating an archaeological perspective on cultural interactions in the Mediterranean region. By reviewing the genesis and development of "Fu" culture, we elaborate on its philosophical impact on contemporary aesthetics through four aspects: the philosophy of harmony and the pursuit of contemporary aesthetics, the spirit of morality and the moral aesthetics of contemporary aesthetics, the concept of innovation and the innovative development of contemporary aesthetics, and pragmatism and the practical aesthetics of contemporary aesthetics. Furthermore, using archaeological methods, we investigate the interactions of "Fu" culture with other ancient cultures in the Mediterranean region, revealing its unique value in global cultural exchanges. This research not only promotes the integration of Chinese traditional culture and design but also provides a new perspective for archaeology and cultural heritage management in the Mediterranean region.
