Abstract

Traditional Chinese visual elements, as unique artistic symbols of Chinese civilization, have evolved through time and space, embodying specific social and cultural structures and collective aesthetic consciousness, encompassing all aspects of material, spiritual, and social life. From an interdisciplinary archaeological perspective, this paper explores the cultural symbol function of these traditional visual elements in animation works and how they convey national culture and identity to the audience. Utilizing animation semiotics theory, it analyzes how these elements express spiritual values in animation creation and summarizes relevant creative experiences. Finally, integrating previous discussions, the paper examines the application of traditional Chinese visual elements in animation characters and scenes, providing a new perspective for the interdisciplinary study of archaeology and animation creation.
