Archaeological education is a crucial component of international Chinese education. With the deepening of theoretical research and the advancement of modern educational technology, the teaching methods and forms of archaeological courses have become increasingly diverse. Digital cultural heritage and museum resources, as high-quality teaching resources that combine convenience and interest, have significant advantages in enhancing the effectiveness of archaeological course teaching. However, current research on the application of these resources in the archaeological education of international Chinese teachers is not sufficiently mature and requires further enrichment and expansion.
This study employed questionnaire surveys, empirical research, and interviews to investigate the current application status of digital cultural heritage and museum resources in archaeological courses within international Chinese education. Firstly, based on the TAM2 model, a questionnaire survey targeting international Chinese education teachers was designed to assess their understanding and usage of digital cultural heritage and museum resources. Secondly, specific teaching plans were used to design classroom teaching experiments to verify the positive impact of using these resources on archaeological teaching effectiveness. Finally, interviews were conducted to gather respondents' perceptions and future expectations regarding the use of digital cultural heritage and museum resources, further corroborating the conclusions of the teaching experiments. The study found that most teachers believe that the use of these resources benefits archaeological teaching effectiveness and are willing to apply them in the classroom. Compared to traditional teaching methods, the use of digital cultural heritage and museum resources helps students better understand and remember archaeological knowledge, thereby improving teaching effectiveness. However, the prevalence of these resources in the field of international Chinese education is currently low. Teachers face issues such as insufficient professional training, imperfect platform construction, lack of professional equipment support, difficulty in accessing high-quality teaching resources, and a shortage of relevant teaching cases in practical application.
The research indicates that digital cultural heritage and museum resources are effective and practical teaching tools, and their application enhances the interest and effectiveness of archaeological classrooms, making significant contributions to the development and construction of archaeological courses in the field of international Chinese education. Therefore, based on these findings, the study proposes specific suggestions for the future development and practical application of digital cultural heritage and museum resources in international Chinese education. These include optimizing resource allocation and constructing shared platforms at the societal level, strengthening theoretical research and conducting teaching training at the school level, and clarifying selection principles and improving classroom arrangements at the teacher level.
