Integrating Mediterranean Archaeology and Archaeometric Techniques into Ideological-Political Education in Higher Education: An Innovative Approach
Abstract
This paper explores the innovative integration of Mediterranean archaeology and archaeometric techniques into ideological-political education (IPE) in higher education. By analyzing the unique value of archaeology in IPE and its intersection with academic foreign language teaching (AFLT), a framework for the organic integration of archaeological knowledge with IPE elements is proposed. The framework aims to subtly incorporate findings from Mediterranean archaeology, archaeometric dating techniques, and cultural heritage conservation into AFLT, achieving bidirectional enhancements in moral and subject education. The article elaborates on specific implementation strategies from six interconnected aspects: precise teaching objectives, relevant teaching content, gradual teaching design, diverse teaching methods, comprehensive teaching evaluation, and effective course management. This provides practical guidance for educators to promote the application and development of archaeology in IPE.
