This paper explores the positive impact of music education on the development of mental health in adolescents, incorporating an interdisciplinary analysis from an archaeological perspective. Firstly, the paper summarizes the current mental health issues faced by adolescents and their underlying causes, revealing the prevalence of psychological stress and mental illnesses among this demographic. It then elaborates on the multiple benefits of music education in promoting adolescent mental health, including the formation of good character, the establishment of harmonious interpersonal relationships, the enhancement of creativity, and the development of a correct spiritual worldview. Additionally, specific methods to foster adolescent mental health through music appreciation teaching are proposed, such as emphasizing activity-based experiences, chorus training, and enriching teaching content. This paper aims to provide scientific and effective support and intervention strategies for adolescent mental health through music education, while also exploring the profound significance of music education in adolescent psychological development from the perspective of cultural heritage in archaeology.
