Abstract

Chinese painting is a traditional art form with a history of more than 3000 years. Gunbei was also one of the painting styles in China that has a long history, but no research has been done on the aesthetic aspects of this style. This research tries to show the innovations of Gunbei painting in China. Examining the results of the research shows that Gongbi, on the other hand, these paintings are more descriptive than interpretive. A precise brush technique that defines the details very precisely without independent or expressive changes. It is often very colorful and usually depicts pictorial or fictional subjects. Gongbi first needs to draw with fine lines to show exaggerated likenesses of objects, and then add layer upon layer of ink and color washes to approach the perfection of elegance and fine art. In this style, detailed images such as facial features and insects are emphasized. After hundreds of years, a technique was developed for all Gongbi artists as a system. First, lines are used to draw the shape and determine the fine lines of the painting. Soft colors are added to the painting that enhances the sense of nature, and when the content of the painting has prominent lines, brilliant colors are used.
