Abstract

In the digital reconstruction of archaeological sites, the application of color not only enhances visual attraction but also conveys rich historical and cultural information through its unique emotional properties. Different colors in digital archaeological visual communication can trigger varying emotional responses from the audience, effectively guiding their visual focus and emotional resonance. This paper proposes to study the role of color in the visual communication of archaeological sites from a digital perspective. First, we briefly introduce digital technology and archaeological visual communication technology, conducting foundational research. Based on this, we compare the emotional effects of different colors in archaeological visual communication. We analyze the role of color in the digital visual communication of archaeological sites from five aspects: emotional communication, visual guidance, associative function, cultural heritage, and brand shaping. By combining the rules and characteristics of digital visual communication, we explore its potential in enhancing audience immersion and historical understanding, providing a new perspective for the digital presentation and communication of archaeological sites.
