Multidisciplinary Archaeological Inquiry into "Bookishness": Exploring Ancient Cultural Heritage through Yang Renkai's Calligraphy Art

This paper employs a multidisciplinary approach, integrating perspectives from archaeology, cultural anthropology, and history, to systematically analyze and deeply explore the discussions on the calligrapher's "bookishness" in historical calligraphy theories. It reveals the significance of "bookishness" in ancient calligraphy art and its role in cultural heritage. By examining archaeological findings of calligraphic relics, this study investigates the connotation of "bookishness" and its impact on the formation of calligraphic styles. Taking Mr. Yang Renkai's calligraphy art as a case study, combined with archaeological evidence, this paper analyzes the origin and cultural connotation of "bookishness" in his work, highlighting its unique value in ancient cultural transmission. Additionally, the paper discusses the enlightenment of Yang Renkai's calligraphy for the development of modern calligraphy, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary research in calligraphic archaeology and cultural heritage.
