Abstract

In the field of archaeology, the emergence of digital technology, particularly the integration of artificial intelligence, provides archaeologists with unprecedented tools and methods for image processing. Traditional archaeological image analysis has often been constrained by human imagination, skills, and experience, whereas artificial intelligence possesses the capability to transcend these limitations and generate entirely new forms and styles of images. By leveraging algorithms and models, AI can automatically optimize, repair, and enhance archaeological images, significantly improving the efficiency and quality of image processing. Furthermore, AI can automatically generate images that align with the research intentions and requirements of archaeologists, thereby offering more inspiration and options for archaeological studies. In the digital age, AI technology has brought about unprecedented transformations in archaeological image processing. This shift not only alters the methods and processes of traditional archaeological image analysis but also prompts profound reflections on the essence and value of archaeological research. Therefore, conducting an in-depth study on the revolutionary impact of AI on archaeological image processing and creation will not only enhance our understanding of the development trends in contemporary archaeology but also provide new ideas and methods for future archaeological research.
