Against the backdrop of rapid globalization and informatization, the protection and inheritance of archaeological sites are encountering new challenges and opportunities. This paper aims to explore the application of digital technology in the protection of archaeological sites and reveal the importance and feasibility of digital inheritance by analyzing the digital narrative strategies of regional brands. Initially, the paper reviews the theories and practices of archaeological site protection, identifying the primary issues and technical bottlenecks currently faced. It then analyzes how digital technologies, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D modeling, can facilitate the protection and inheritance of archaeological sites. Furthermore, the paper proposes strategies for applying digital narrative in regional brand building and demonstrates its effectiveness in enhancing brand awareness and influence through specific case studies. The research findings indicate that digital technology not only offers innovative solutions for archaeological site protection but also provides new impetus for the promotion and communication of regional brands. Finally, the paper summarizes the future directions of digital inheritance and offers relevant policy recommendations, aiming to provide a valuable reference for the protection of archaeological sites and the development of regional brands.
