Abstract

Dance, as a vibrant form of cultural inheritance and aesthetic expression, holds significant importance in enhancing aesthetic and artistic cultivation. The complexity of its creation is deeply intertwined with revolutionary themes and historical development, necessitating a focused study on dance works themed on the Dabie Mountain Revolutionary History in Macheng. This paper elucidates the overview of the Dabie Mountain revolutionary historical themes based on archaeological findings, analyzes the current status and challenges in dance creation, and establishes the connection between historical themes and dance creation. It further elaborates on the path of creating dance works integrating Dabie Mountain historical themes from five aspects: theme selection and research, conception and choreography, creative practice, performance feedback, and publicity and inheritance. This approach aims to realize the education and popularization of dance works and optimize the immersive viewing experience for the masses, contributing to cultural heritage management and the transmission of historical narratives through artistic expression.
