Exploring the Historical and Cultural Values of Folk Music Piano Teaching in the Mediterranean Region through a Multidisciplinary Perspective
Abstract
This paper aims to delve into the multifaceted values of folk music piano teaching in the Mediterranean region, encompassing archaeology, cultural heritage, moral education, and personality development, through a multidisciplinary approach. Initially, it provides a brief overview of the current state of piano course teaching, identifying issues such as insufficient cultural integration, lack of student agency, and monolithic teaching content and methods. Building on this, the paper employs archaeological, anthropological, and natural scientific methodologies to systematically explore the historical and cultural values of folk music piano teaching in four key areas: realizing cultural inheritance and development, enhancing a sense of belonging to folk music, improving expressiveness and creativity, and popularizing social music education. This research not only deepens the understanding of the historical lineage and cultural connotations of folk music in the Mediterranean region but also promotes the inheritance and development of folk culture, offering new perspectives and methods for archaeology and cultural heritage management.
