This study, set against the backdrop of the Silk Road, selects the most representative segment of the Northern Land Silk Road and employs archaeological methodologies to conduct information visualization modeling of silk colors. The aim is to revisit the history of the Silk Road through an archaeological lens and perceive its civilizational significance. Initially, the development history of the Silk Road is combing ed, revealing its millennia-old mission of economic and cultural exchange. Subsequently, the cultural and historical values of the Silk Road are elucidated, fully demonstrating its profound impact as a world intangible cultural heritage. Then, relevant silk artifacts are organized based on the content to be presented, and color elements are extracted to establish a Silk Road color research system. By comparing three color reduction algorithms, it is concluded that the Welsh algorithm yields the best results for image color reduction, providing a color reference for industries such as cultural tourism, clothing, and painting.
