Abstract

This study employs a multidisciplinary approach, integrating archaeology, history, and cultural studies, to examine the influence of modern publications addressing women's issues on the development of women's sports in modern China. The research also explores the significant role these publications play in the liberation of women's bodies and related scholarly inquiries. Through a comprehensive analysis, it is revealed that while these publications have positively contributed to the advancement of women's sports, they also exhibit certain limitations. As crucial mediums and platforms for the liberation and development of women's bodies, these publications provide invaluable historical data for the study of women's sports in modern China. In the context of the cultural turn, the investigation of women's sports in modern China, based on these publications, necessitates an interdisciplinary research methodology, drawing insights from diverse perspectives and theoretical frameworks. Additionally, the study highlights the emerging trends of globalization and transnationalism in the historical analysis of modern Chinese women's sports. This exploration calls for further scholarly attention and in-depth research in the field.
