This paper, themed "Mediterranean Archaeology and the Modern Stage Application of Ancient Drama," delves into the insights and influences of ancient Mediterranean drama on contemporary actor training. By analyzing archaeological findings and performance arts of ancient Greek, Roman, and other coastal countries' dramatic traditions, it reveals the unique value of these ancient dramas in performance techniques and dramatic aesthetics. The article first reviews the historical development and core features of Mediterranean theatre, then explores how these historical elements are innovatively applied in modern performing arts. The research indicates that utilizing the historical resources of Mediterranean ancient drama in actor training not only enhances their performance skills and expressive power but also brings new artistic perspectives to the modern stage. This paper proposes a set of innovative actor training methods inspired by Mediterranean ancient drama and validates the effectiveness and feasibility of these methods through in-depth analysis of practical cases on the modern stage. Ultimately, the study suggests that the integration of these historical elements with modern performance techniques not only promotes the development of actors' performing arts but also provides a new avenue for cross-cultural theatrical communication. This paper offers a theoretical basis and practical reference for further exploring the application of historical drama elements in actor training.
