"Wartime" is a cartoon created by Feng Zikai, centered around the theme of the Anti-Japanese War. Through this cartoon, Feng Zikai expresses his views on society and life in simple and metaphorical ways. The cartoon reflects transcendence over suffering realities and mobilizes the public against Japanese invaders. This paper approaches Feng Zikai's work from the perspective of "Image Archaeology," exploring how his art conveyed the cultural psyche, national identity, and historical memory during the war. The study examines the interaction between art, society, and history, and highlights the role of art in shaping collective memory. By investigating the intersection of art and cultural heritage management, this paper aims to demonstrate how wartime art contributes to the preservation of Chinese cultural heritage within a global context.
