The Aesthetic Confluence of Mediterranean Archaeology and Chinese Literati Films: A Multidisciplinary Perspective
Abstract
This paper explores the aesthetic implications of Chinese literati films within the context of traditional history and culture from a multidisciplinary archaeological perspective. By comparing cross-cultural findings from Mediterranean archaeology, it reveals the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese literati films, including humanistic care, illumination of human nature, creative expression, aesthetic pursuits, mood creation, philosophical thinking, small narrative spatial and temporal dimensions, and the spirit of literati paintings in video expressions. The study integrates natural scientific archaeological methods such as archaeogeology, remote sensing, and biomolecular archaeology to deeply analyze the intrinsic relationship between Chinese literati films and traditional history and culture. This provides a new perspective on understanding the interactions between ancient Mediterranean civilizations and Chinese culture. The aim is to enhance the recognition of the aesthetic value of Chinese literati films through multidimensional archaeological analysis, promoting the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage.
