The Fusion and Innovation of Folk Music and Contemporary Music

Abstract

The integration and innovation of folk music and contemporary music is an important topic in the current music academic research. With the acceleration of globalization and cultural exchange, the boundary between folk music and contemporary music is gradually blurred, and the mutual penetration and fusion of the two create a rich form of musical expression. This fusion is not only reflected in the creation and performance of music, but also has a profound impact on the social and cultural level. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the fusion process, expression form and innovation mechanism of folk music and contemporary music.
