Abstract

As an important form of cultural communication, museum education has gradually become a key component of modern education system. This paper discusses how to integrate cultural heritage and modern education system from an interdisciplinary perspective in order to enhance the innovation and effectiveness of museum education. The study first reviews the history and development of museum education, and analyzes the unique value of cultural heritage in education, especially the important role of inheriting history, cultivating cultural identity and enhancing social responsibility. This paper further discusses the theoretical framework of interdisciplinary education, emphasizing that by integrating multiple disciplines such as art, history and science and technology, museums can break through the limitations of traditional education and realize multi-dimensional integration and innovation of knowledge. Through case studies, this paper shows how multiple museums have successfully applied interdisciplinary educational concepts to practice, exploring new approaches to cultural heritage education. In addition, the study also pointed out the challenges facing museum education, such as resource constraints, insufficient educational policy support, and low public participation, and proposed targeted solutions. Finally, this paper emphasizes the dual significance of interdisciplinary museum education for the protection of cultural heritage and the development of modern education, and looks forward to its future research direction and practical potential.
