Cultural Identity and Technological Innovation: Rethinking the Role of Ancient Chinese Literature in the Digital Age

Abstract

With the rapid development of digital technology, the relationship between cultural identity and technological innovation is getting closer and closer, especially in the tide of globalization and information technology, ancient Chinese literature, as an important part of traditional culture, is facing an opportunity to re-examine. The purpose of this paper is to explore how ancient Chinese literature achieves the reconstruction and re-dissemination of cultural identity through technological innovation under the background of digital age. First, this paper analyzes the basic concept of cultural identity, and explores the cultural functions of ancient Chinese literature in traditional societies, emphasizing its central role in shaping national cultural identity. Then, this paper discusses in detail how digital technology promotes the dissemination, preservation and re-creation of ancient Chinese literature, including the preservation of ancient literary works by digital tools, the application of virtual reality and augmented reality technology in literary representation, and how digital platforms enable ancient literature to break through the limitations of region and time and space and enter the vision of global cultural exchange. The paper also explores how the re-creation and re-expression of ancient Chinese literature, driven by technological innovation, shapes new cultural identities and provides new cultural resources for contemporary society through the diversity of digital media. In addition, this paper also analyzes the challenges and opportunities of digital technology to the identification of traditional culture, and holds that the digital age not only provides a new path for the dissemination of ancient literature, but also makes it radiate new vitality in modern society. Through these studies, this paper provides a new perspective for the study of ancient Chinese literature under the digital background, and provides a reference for the theoretical research of cultural identity and technological innovation in related fields.
